Inpatient Adolescent Program
The Adolescent Treatment Program is designed for the inpatient treatment of teens, ages 13-17, with emotional and/or behavioral problems. Common problems include mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, impulse control disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, and suicidal ideations or homicidal behavior.
Focusing on Adolescents. Individualized Approach.
The program provides a multi-disciplinary approach and is administered under the direction of an attending psychiatrist and provides:
- Safe, structured treatment environment
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Physical examination
- Group and individual therapy
- Family therapy and parenting education
- Health and nutrition education
- Alcohol and drug detoxification and education
- Activity and recreational therapy
- Medication Management
- Educational support
- Individualized discharge and aftercare planning
The program allows the adolescent and his/her family to work through a crisis, stabilize and return to an appropriate level of care. The goal is for the adolescent to exhibit appropriate expression of emotions, behavioral self-control, appropriate anger management skills and the development of positive peer relationships.
